I’m La Sup.. (? / !)
Actually my parents have always thought so. Recently, a friend reminded me of this special trait of mine again.

Wondering what's La Sup?

Definition of La Sup:

La Sup, in Spanish means, girl-next-door.

I was kidding. Actually it’s Hokkien, and it means demure. I know all of you must be thinking that this word totally fits me, right? Say yes, don’t break my heart, and most importantly, don’t lie.

Fine, I confess, it means, in Tamil, a nice person.
Am I driving you crazy with my translations? Yes? Very nice.

Final: La Sup means untidy and dirty in Hokkien! Actually the direct translation is 垃圾. *traumatised*
For all those who don’t understand Hokkien, NOW you know how the lack of hokkien knowledge sucks huh? *smirks*

Actually I’ve never thought myself as a very tidy and clean person. Grab a pebble and throw it at a crowd. If it hits a girl, then most probably she’s someone who’s much tidier and cleaner than me.

BUT, the friend who commented that I’m La Sup is.. a.. GUY.
Just because I sat on the floor, those outdoor volleyball court kind of floor.
That’s it! Enough HORkay?! That’s obviously a personal attack.
Or maybe it's just that he's gay.
Anyway, since I have nothing else to blog about, I shall tell all of you how Un-La-Sup-ly La Sup I am with this entry.

Since young ( I don’t remember who influenced me), I’ve been those food-drop-on-the-floor-pick-it-up-BLOW-OR-WASH-and-put-it-back-into-my-mouth-if-not-where kind of girl. I think it was from my parents, because THE GOOD HABIT that time was not to be wasteful. Then, as time passed, maybe because of SARS and chicken flu and all those germy disasters, their thinking changed. And THE GOOD HABIT became practicing good hygiene. CAN THEY, like, DECIDE WHAT THEY WANT? Too bad huh, I already made the former my habit. OOPS.

Sometimes I even go beyond limits, when we go to hawker centres.
*picks up food dropped on the table* I drop one, not the people who were sitting there before us! GOODNESS!
Mother: “EeeeeYER! 桌子很脏的leh! 不要拿来吃 lah!"
*throws the food into my mouth. OF COS, after blowing*
It’s not me being intentionally rebellious, really. It’s reflex. Between my fingers already, next step always has to be releasing the food into my mouth.

As my 外婆always says, “Aiya, La Sup jia, La Sup dua lah. Mai guan yi ah ni zuay.”
Woah! My 外婆 is damn steady hor?
And *erhmm* EXCUSE ME hor.. I’m like, one of the very few who hasn’t fallen sick in this turbulent exam period. My immune system is strong can?

In school, especially Pri and Sec school, I always sit on the grass.
Friends: “EeeeeYER! 为什么你敢坐在草上面?! 很肮脏leh!” *ultimate disgusted look, ma jiam just saw a dead toad*
Me: “Huh? 会meh?”
The only thing I am sorry for, even up till now, about sitting on the grass, are the insects that were squashed dead under my bum. REALLY sorry lah.

ANYWAY ah, if you really think I’m La Sup now, think twice.
I do housework one ok.
And coincidentally, my favorite household chores are cooking and sweeping,mopping the floor.

Can you please believe me?

I just mopped the floor yesterday can? And it was *squeak*y clean.
*smiles proudly like an idiot*
Ok lah, I admit it wasn’t really because I can’t stand the floor being dirty, but more because Mummy can’t mop the floor now (arms will ache). And since I LOVE MY MUMMY (!!!), I’ll do it for her!

And ACTUALLY doing housework is de-stressing. Surprise!
Pai seh for the double disappointment. Firstly, I’m afterall not really a person who observes absolute cleanliness and secondly, I’m really not so filial. Who asked you to be so gullible?

SO, those of you who are super stressed up now, GO HELP YOUR POOR THING MUMMY DO THE CHORES! 家也是你的，对吗?
