The story of the Gans

You know what chicken liver's called in Chinese?
How about the bamboo used for hanging your clothes to dry?

Yes, the former is Ji(1) Gan(1)
and the latter, Zhu(2) Gan(1). (Not Zhu(1) Gan(1) ok? Please.)

How unlucky can one get, you ask?
To the extent of having a chicken liver thrown on your car.
I am not exaggerating. My mum told us about it. It happened to our car.
*in spasms from laughing*
Ok, actually I'm not laughing anymore.

Anyway, my father responded very seriously, "YOU SEE LAH! EVEN A CHICKEN LIVER CAN FALL ON YOUR CAR. HOW CAN YOU STILL SAY A BAMBOO STICK WOULD NEVER FALL ON YOU!?"

I think this is a pretty common scenario - the guy in the family telling the girls to NOT walk under the areas where folks put their bamboos out to dry their clothes.

My father is very rational.

The chicken liver is very.................... inedible.

OK ANYWAY AGAIN,
met up with my veryveryverydearest Jac-honey last night!
She's still too sweet and adorable and everything nice.
Love her!
and you! (You're so sweet too. :D)

Ok bye!
