On the road.

I have so much to say.
SECOND post within one morning.

Yesterday the bus that I took to Orchard Road to tutor my boy broke down.
Punctured tyre.

The bus driver was really nice. Firstly, impressive panic control. Secondly, he issued a free ticket to everyone of us. This is my 3rd bus-breakdown experience within like, 2 months, and I don't remember receiving this kind of treatment in the previous trips.

When we were stranded on the highway, waiting to be rescued by Superman in the form of another bendy bus, I heard some uncle saying,

"AIYA! I knew there was something wrong with this bus since just now. Blahblahblah. Why did the driver still drive this bus knowing that there's something wrong with it?"

I wanted to ask, "Then, knowing the bus is faulty, why did you still board it, Mr SmartyPants?"

But of course I held my teenage mouth. Too old for this kind of heroic behaviour.

When we were transferred from one bus to the other, I thanked the bus driver anyway. Apart from profusely apologising, he tried to stuff me another free ticket. HAHA.

I took a bus driven by the same bus driver home. Instead of driving past me because the bus was already full, he stopped and opened the rear exit to let me board the bus.

So I thanked him again when I alighted the bus to walk home.

Yeah, so my day was rather shitty, but I met a really nice bus driver so who cares?

Sometimes I really feel that the simplest people are the sweetest.

My boy said, "Sort of." and smiled his heart-melting SuperShySmile when I asked him if he missed me after not seeing me during the weekend.

That's all that really matters.
